How I Got Here...
Hi, it's Theresa in "Gemma's House"!
(Gemma is my loyal little dog companion!)
A little about the exciting path I now find myself on!
After retiring from my professional careers,
selling my house and downsizing to a different location,
it was time to forge ahead on a new path!
I hadn't painted for more than 40 years since art school,
while raising my two daughters, going back to school
numerous times, and changing careers --
all of which took the totality of my energy and focus.
But now was the time for me to revisit my creativity in a big way,
and rekindle my long-ago passion for capturing creative images
in my mind and turning them into tangible illusions
of realism and depth using acrylic paint!
Just around the same time, the Covid pandemic
took us all by surprise, and this, in an unexpected way,
reinforced my desire to stay home and paint!
Since then, I've created more than 25 acrylic paintings,
enjoying hours and hours of contentment, and
thrilled with inspiration to do more!
Each painting is so special to me, and
they are all proudly displayed in my home.
From this experience, I'm now confident to offer realistic
acrylic paintings to others to enjoy for daily admiration or
as a remembrance of their own animals!
